Tommy Vincent Broderick, passed away on the 20th of March, 2020.
He had an impressive career with the Castlegar Hurling Club.

On Saint Patrick's Day, 2020, I was speaking to a Man (M.D.) who marked Tom in a figurative sense - he couldn't mark him at all, in a literal sense.
Swinging out his arm, this reluctant Full Forward was trying to re-enact the action of Tom saying that "he was like a JCB".
This Man , learned soon enough, that he had to radically change strategy, and work around Tom, and not through him. He noted too, that he was reliant on his own teammates, not to put the ball, near him or Tom - that they would have the cop-on to drop it a distance away from them. He managed to get a Point, but just about - and not without the benefits of Team Work.
" A Gentleman", he too, described Tommy as.

Racecourse.
Tom worked in the Ballybrit Racecourse, for Decades, too, as a Grounds Manager. He was alongside John Moloney and Luke Mullins, as well as some of his Parish Neighbours.

 Corona Virus.
As his Funeral occurred in March of 2020, that Funeral too, was limited to Family, amid the safe-distancing model. His R.I.P. page of condolences was very active - a reflection of his popularity, and a reflection of the cultural shift in Funeral responses.
