Adjacent to the Church on the Galway city side, is their very own grotto.
Set in front of the Church is a plaque to commemorate the Millenium ( 2000 A.D.)
Below shows the grotto altar, which is neat and well maintained. Not unlike the grotto in Castlegar, this too is a man-made limestone and concave structure, to provide some shelter to it "residents".
A statue of Our Lady, on the right hand side of the main element.
The plaque below offer details; This Grotto was erected by the Parishioners and Fr. (Father) Brendan Moroney C.C. and blessed by Most Rev. (Reverend) Dr. Michael Browne, Bishop of Galway in 1945.
