Other information regarding Deano;
- To mention just two; Christys mates on his overseas Charity work, were Mike King (Plumber) and John Small (Block/bricklayer).
- He played Hurling with Castlegar in the 1970's with the likes of Billy Keady (to name just one).
- He was a highly skilled Stonemason (and known for it), as well as a competent Blocklayer - "serving his time" in O Malley Construction with the likes of Mike Mc Gath and Gerry Grealish (ref. pm).
- Samples of his work, are almost everywhere throughout the Parish - The Entrance to the Racecourse (back gates), is probably the largest reminder/cluster of his Stonework prowess.
- Son of Christy O Meara Senior - their Shop was one of a few, positioned on the Galway - Monivea road, close to where the Morris Roundabout/Junction, would be today.
- A Character!
